Every now and then on my Facebook official profile PraveenBhatPhotography and Instagram account @praveenbhat , I come across queries on how to do unique product photography. Well, as a solution to this query of thousands, I thought to make a quick trick list  from my knowledge and experience. So, here I got with the 5 ways for unique and beautiful product photography.

 

Reflective Science

 

This I have personally tried and tested and I believe that this is among the easiest trick to play with for better results. All you need to do is to use reflective surface like glass as the base for product to get neat and crisp reflection. This reflected image gives your product photography an exceptional edge, which as a result enhances your product photography final result.

 

Angle Agenda

Random and abstract is the taste of time, and when it comes to product photography, another easy trick for impressive play is to bring in random angles to show dimension and edge of the product. This also helps in providing a 360 degree virtual view of the product through a single shot.

Background Backup

Grey is great, but colors are wao. It is ok to play with grey background, but to get the wao factor you need to drop some colors in it and the best way to do this is through introducing interesting background. Keeping the subject in mind, play around the background to allure the viewers.

Create, manipulate and re-create, this is how it actually works. Yes, I am talking about learning the art of editing and manipulation. get your hands on professional image editing software and see the difference. You will be amazed as your feel the difference, trust me!!!

Macro shots are ‘it’ thing now. The best part of macro shot is it gives you a detailed look of the product. Try it and start making your viewers fall for your art.

Some more details to be taken care of:

* Opt for a good professional camera. People think that it hardly makes a difference, but it is the thing that makes the real difference

 

* Understand the art and system of light an shadow. Until and unless you understand how natural and artificial light works, you just can’t break the deal of amazing photography

 

* Work on White Balance. It is the process of removing unrealistic color cast, so that the object which appears white in person is rendered white in your final image.

 

* Try to avoid working on auto mode, go for manual mode. It will help you to face real hurdles and you will learn to tackle them.
